Entry and Visa requirements
Representatives are responsible for obtaining a visa and for acquiring the visas necessary for transit countries. The United Nations will not be able to assist in bearing any related costs or in obtaining the required visas.
The Government of Turkmenistan will facilitate the issuance of visas and will grant free visa to all registered participants to the LLDC3 Conference.
All participants who have successfully registered to attend LLDC3 must complete the separate Attendance Form https://lldc3.gov.tm/reg-form provided by the Host Country.Completion of the Attendance Form is mandatory for all participants, regardless of whether they require an entry visa to enter Turkmenistan.
The United Nations registration and the completion of the Attendance Form developed by the Host Country are two separate procedures, and both must be completed to ensure participation in the Conference and to facilitate necessary logistical arrangements in Turkmenistan.
Participants requiring an entry visa will receive a formal invitation letter issued by the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan after submitting the Attendance Form.
Participants who have received the formal invitation letter issued by the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan may obtain their visa stamp in one of the Embassies or Consulates of Turkmenistan abroad, or upon arrival at the border checkpoints in Turkmenistan. Participants must bring with them the formal invitation letter either printed or electronic.

Arrival in Awaza and Local transportation
Representatives are responsible for their travel to and from Turkmenistan and for acquiring the visas necessary for transit countries. The United Nations will not be able to assist in bearing any related costs or in obtaining the required visas.
Participants are asked to consider ways of reducing the environmental footprint of their mode of transportation.
In Turkmenistan, Turkmenbashi International Airport (KRW) in the city of Tukmenbashi is the closest airport to the Conference venue. Travel to Awaza can also be by connecting through Ashgabat International Airport in Ashgabat (city and capital of Turkmenistan).

To facilitate the reception of official delegations on arrival and departure, a dedicated welcome and information desk will be set up at the Turkmenbashi International Airport.
The Government of Turkmenistan will provide airport transfers between the airport and the hotels and between the hotels and the Conference venue.

Health Services
A free PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) test will be made for each participant upon arrival at the port of entry.
An on-site medical service will provide all first aid facilities at the Conference venue.
Closest hospitals in the area:
“Awaza” Medical Centre (distance from the Conference venue to the Medical Centre – 8 minutes by car or 5.5 km);
The Multidisciplinary Hospital in Turkmenbashi city (distance from the Conference venue to the Hospital - 14 minutes by car or 13.4 km);

Climate
The climate in Turkmenistan is continental with cold winters and hot summers. In August the average daily temperature in Awaza usually varies from 30 °C to 40 °C.
Voltage
Alternating current, 220V with 50 Hz frequency.
Electric appliances can be used in Turkmenistan, if the standard voltage in the home country is in between 220 - 240 V (as is in the UK, Europe, Australia and most of Asia and Africa). A step-down power converter is needed if you are travelling to Turkmenistan from a country that uses 100-120 volts. It is strongly advised to check the voltage of each device before plugging it into an outlet.
Food and catering
A considerable variety of food options will be available on site for purchase throughout the Conference.
Banking services and currency
The national currency is Manat. Hotels and shops accept credit cards, including Visa and Mastercard. ATMs are available in the hotel or at the airport (not in CIP lounge)
